A digital twin in augmented reality

Catsurveys Ltd's research and development team have recently started testing a high-accuracy augmented reality visualisation platform called vGIS. This has the capability of visualising under- and above-ground 2D and 3D objects in the real world using a tablet, smartphone or Microsoft Hololens. Bimfra Kft. are pleased to have provided the utility data for this test.

Tamas Kosa, Research & Development Manager at Catsurveys Ltd, used a Trimble antenna and the Trimble Catalyst service to achieve RTK GNSS position accuracy at around 1 cm so vGIS could provide the best visualisation result between the 3D objects and real-world objects.
